i got an 8 in bazooka tube for free and would like to install it into my 99 ranger single cab. I need to know how to run the power wires up to the battery.

well first id say dont..... but does it have an amp built in? if so big red one to the pos of the batt. ground out the big black one. and find a remote to turn it on

Just courious but where do you plan to mount that? I was given a 6 inch tube and found it would fit behind the seat, but the seat would have to be too far forward to be usefull,

yes it does have a built in amp, i need to know where the easiest place to run the positive wire up through the dash is so i can connect it to the battery . And i just put it behind the driver seat and it fits fine

Just run it under the drivers side door trim and run it to your fuse box.:icon_thumby:

dont eeeeeeeevvvvvvvvveeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr do that ever ever ever

and r1hatman i am forbidding you from ever giving advise again

look for a large OEM rubber grommet going thur your fire wall. the one for your comp is always pretty big. carefully put a small hole in the side of it. between the wires and the edge and push it thur so it seals tight around it. orrr drill a new hole and get a new rubber grommet.

yah, run it through a grommet in the firewall.

i always did my power wire on the passenger side, and ran my remote and sub out wires on the drivers side.

the power wire can **** with your sound. so run them seperate. :headbang:

alright thanks for the help

It's a bazooka tube, not a custom amp and speaker box system:icon_rofl: I've installed over 20 of those things like that and have never had a problem with any of them:icon_thumby: And as far as forbidding me to post, :idiot:;missingteeth;

first, never said you couldn't post, just not give advise.

second dude. its not about the size of the system. you have made the biggest fire hazard ever. your over loading a circuit, and setting up a circuit that doesnt have a fuse build in line for safety. wtf man your a moron. if it poped the curcuit you jaming it in while driving...... you can kill some one. even worse if it came lose, and started shorting out more then one.

20+ installs of shitty equipment, with an even more shitty installation.......yea lets keep bragging about that

and i stand by the statement. your a tool and your going to get some one hurt, or killed.........so stop ****ing trying to help when you dont know what your talking about.

IM with 4x4 on this one, i work for one of the biggest installers on long island and i can tell right now, you dont know what your doing, and your a douche for bragging about it.

dont give such crappy advise again. youll just end up killing someone.

4x4 obviously you have a hormone problem!:annoyed: As for me being a tool, you don't know me so I could make a lot of assumptions about you. So we can agree to disagree, but unless you own TRS then you don't have the right to character assassination. Really? What are you like 4? Just change the name of the site to 4x4 expert advise corner. There is always some knob such as yourself who tries to take over these forums and act like they own it. Do everyone a favor and get some counseling and have a coke and a smile and shut the *%ck up!:icon_thumby:
