4x4 obviously you have a hormone problem!:annoyed: As for me being a tool, you don't know me so I could make a lot of assumptions about you.

yea you can. i know i have PTS..... but i dont care, i really dont.

So we can agree to disagree

no that style of installation is dangerous, and can be putting peoples lives in danger. ill never agree to that.

There is always some knob such as yourself who tries to take over these forums and act like they own it. Do everyone a favor and get some counseling and have a coke and a smile

dont own anything, dont care too....and how do yo know about my knob

and i am doing everyone a favor. im stopping everyone from listening to your crappy advice........

and when people say to do dangerous stuff i will fight it till my fingers bleed.

Oh and PS, I never said jam it in to the fuse box, And you call me a tool!:icon_thumby:

so your going thur the trouble to:
1 remove your fuse block.
2 finding a blank fuse location
3 runing a new wire from your batt to your fuse block.
4 sourcing the female spade connectors. that fits inside your fuse panel.
5 using the correct punch thur tool to seat the spade connectors inside your fuse block.
6 then installing the amp to the new fused line.

and your doing all this with a MIN of 8gage wire.

Wow...I'm SOOOOO lucky! I've installed all of those that way in my cars and yet here I am, still alive. People I've sold cars to and stayed in touch are still kicking too! Not sure where all this rage is coming from but whatever! As long as everything is fused new the power source, I don't see the fat hairy deal. Worst thing to happen is pop a fuse. Have a nice day now!

I've also seen factory wiring run that way...geez, they must be idiots too!

i would hope you see factory wiring ran thur a fuse block with a fuse.

That's my point though. I'd never run a power line without a fuse very very near the source..i.e. battery

yes but to stick an amp wire into the OEM fuse panel and tap off if it. is what im talking about and it no good,.

Oh...I apologize then...I misunderstood...I thought it was about wire routing...

yeah try jamming an 8-10awg wire in there and see what happens.

biggest size in a fuse panel is 14awg and thats for the headlights. to use that to feed the lights and amp and see if it dont melt something.

4x4 is a good guy and knows what he is talking about so my advice is to listen to his advice.

Guys, just because less than ideal advice was given, we do not need to resort to name calling to prove a point. If it really concerns you the OP will follow said advice, PM him right away to set him straight. Since this is still staying on-topic I will keep this open.

Run the power cable directly to the battery. INSTALL AN APPROPRIATE SIZED FUSE 6-18" FROM THE BATTERY TERMINAL.

atleast im not the one telling someone to do something so stupid.

and i never questioned your knowledge, i said what you do is stupid,

i would probably say that you know better, but your lazy it seems like.

and i never said i was KING INSTALLER. i just happen to work for a very reputable shop and if anyone got caught doing that, they'd be thrown out.

and theres no reason to bring up what engine is in my truck, its what i like, and if you dont like it, dont look at my build thread.

i didnt build my truck for everyelse to like. its my truck and im building it my way. YOU dont know me.YOU dont know my finances, YOU have no right to tell me to shut up

have a good day, and a better tomorrow pal :icon_thumby:

I ran an amp and speaker to my battery one time in my 88 ranger......... it cought on fire anyways.

A cheeseburger patty in the floorboard shorted it out, I think.

I haven't installed one since, stock is ok with me these days :icon_thumby:

it beats the pants out of dumping a soda in your floorboard to put out the fire and yanking the battery terminals on the side of the interstate with chanel locks..... but that's just me :D

Keep the childish name-calling to PMs. No one wants to come here to see people fighting.
