how did this happen? (carnage inside)


I wouldn't say STRONGER so much as having a fixed yoke front output. I've seen a couple 1350's break he snout off on the front output. Not really super cool.

Doesn't the 1354 have a different planetary gear or something?
 
this is strange. i've never heard of these things failing like this, but now it seems like everybody's had this happen!
 
I have a question.
Is there a way inspect the TC to make sure this stuff does not happen?

ive had it happen before, first time i ever saw it, but everyones coming outta the woodwork it seems

pretty tough to be certain without stripping down the case,but you can get an idea about the chain by locking it into 4lo(hubs unlocked) and turning the front output while holding the rear driveshaft.if theres more than a few degrees of rotation before the rear turns it's got a sloppy chain.
