horrable lack of power

bout 6 months ago i could keep up /pass alot of things, now not so much, have to really try to pass anything. running 65mph it turns 4700rpms. ive already changed the fuel pumps, filters, fpr, many sensors....and on and on. but nothing has helped. checked my codes and found nothing.

Your timing is probably fine. mine was and mine ran like shit, its your 2.9 getting tired and only time will tell how long it will last.

sorry guys that its taken me this long to get back to you. I have replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air and fuel filters, egr valve, fuel pump, injectors. all the sensors are working within factory limits. I don't rev the engine high up i usually shift at 2500rpm. anything over that the engine is just wasting fuel and making noise. it doesn't have any power worth anything at a higher rpm. my old boss drove my truck once and he said that if he didn't know any better he'ld thought it had a diesel in it with the narrow power band. I can't find any vaccum leaks and i've checked the timing and its spot on. can anyone think of anything else.

on a different note the brakes have started getting weird. when i start up my truck the brakes do one of two things. it either feels like i have manual brakes or the brakes feel great. i've checked the vaccum line its fine. the brakes have all been replaced and rebuilt about a month ago. the lines have been bleed properly. no air in the lines. Is there anyway to check the brake booster?
