Hello fellows,

I've been reading about Ford lately and found out that it looks like the hood prop rod used in Mustangs would still be present on its 2010 model. Apparently, some aftermarket companies has decide to make something more reliable that would hold the hood up.

Unless they cost $5, I'd sure not get them. I must say to Shotokan, that's an impressive dyno and Mustang you got! Wait and up-grade once you learn to drive it really good.

Well, they are very convenient but if the previous owner had not done them, I doubt I would have cracked my wallet for them.

Thanks on the car comments, I want to get it out on a roadcourse to really enjoy it. I did take it to the strip, but it is not setup for it. I am happy where it is for now, but eventually will get some forced induction. :icon_thumby:

There are a lot of good options out there right now to up-grade that motor. They keep coming up with better and more efficient set-ups than what I have.

More reliable?

The only thing funner than tired gas shocks dropping the hood on your head at random is shelling out $50+ for a set of new shocks.

I have never had a prop rod fail on me.
