I ordered some from Rock Auto for my Fun50 last year. I don't remember the brand. But until they arrived, this was very reliable and inexpensive. This is a God product made of natural oak. It's also recyclable.

I have two V8 Explorers (2 driveable, one parts), both had fried struts for the hood, I ordered two pairs from Amazon for $20 each about 2 years ago, they were nice enough to verify that I wanted two sets before they shipped, they're doing what I expect and work consistently, haven't looked if any of the 4 is leaking but I don't remember seeing oil

97-02 Explorers had struts built into the factory hood hinges. I've seen them done in a Ranger before and it worked well.

You need two of one side, I forget if it is driver or passenger. On older trucks like mine the stock hinges are welded (or riveted, its been awhile) to the firewall, explorers are bolted so there is a little fiddling required there.
I have the hinges but I haven't built up the ambition to open that can of worms yet.
