homemade lift blocks possible?

1 in or 2 in? 1in stouter...2 in fail.

give them to me:icon_thumby:....i will make sure they wont fail on the road.

2 inch blocks... they didn't fail... they worked great at a low cost. i can't complain about them.

they are WAY too cheap to spend over 30 minutes making on your own

depends on specific situation. i know it would take me more then 30 minutes to make my own...unless it was solid stock. and that would take one hell of an expensive saw.

be running a produced block for sure unless the situation benefited from custom.

and if you order good blocks, you get tapered blocks... not sure if its needed for 2 inch, but its nice when its a 4 inch block lol

no....you only have tapered blocks if your lazy and didnt want to actually do it properly

you mean if you have any blocks at all?:thefinger:

I made short ones from channel and plate the right width worked good.Wound up using Ranger ones later though.

or if you bought a lift kit and you were 14 and could only afford the rough country lift kit, and that's what came in it :thefinger:

See, I'm glad you see where I'm coming from Richard, rather than take offense! :icon_cheers:
For myself, I jerry-rig a lot of stuff together and make it work. But when it comes to the safety and stability of my running gear, I don't want something falling off doing 100 down the highway. Just my $.02 :icon_thumby:

Your BII does 100? Whatever you've got under the hood, I'll take two.

So it all boils down to my first post. Don't make your own. Buy a new set, they are cheep. Or do what I did and make different shackles and eliminate the blocks (best thing I've ever done, no more axle wrap).

Haha! I'm Canadian. 100 KM/H.:thefinger:

Although I've had it up to 80 MP/H. A tad scary though... lol
