anyone ever done it? does it work? is it safe?:icon_idea:

works fine, just drill the holes in the center and get new hardware

ok, one more question. does the bed have body mounts? i cant find any for the life of me

6 in a short box. At least that was what mine had.

edit:

Torx 55 if I remember correct. (see Boggin THAT'S how it's done. LOL)

I have to disagree with that, the rubber in hockey pucks will break down over time and they will crumble and fail leaving you with a cab flopping around. Spend the 120 for the proper body lift.

Or just weld some washers to some pipe...
That way you don't break the bank for a few inches of lift.

Pulling a boggin' and doing a double post.
No offense man :D
make your own body lift out of some 2" exhaust tubing and welding washers on both sides. you can make it anywhere from 0-3" for about $30.

That theres a quote from when I asked how to cheaply make a body lift.
Instead of using exhaust pipe I would use something thats a heavier duty.

I bought a bag of NHL hockey pucks for about $20. They have worked well for a number of years.

i bought a bag of them also 12 for 10 bucks.. cant go wrong i only wanted an inch of lift so i put these an it worked great for what i wanted.. been on over a year an its been good

you can buy one inch pa blocks for 2 bucks each on ebay they are stronger and last longer than hockey puck.

yep, but they charge 7 shipping a piece of them.....

just goto a sporting goods store and pick them up, odds are they will FAR outlast your owning the truck, ive seen trucks with them on for 10+ years with no ill effects.......

well ive really thought about it and have decided to let it be. ill just run the stock size, this little truck gets great mileage so why skrew it up wit bigger tires?
