On the front clip right above thebody mount. There's just enough room to get the filter in and out. It ain't too bad though.

Personally, working with an 87, I would never have messed with a carb in the first place. The truck was built and wired for EFI and putting the carb in would have been more work in the first place.

The wiring had a short somewhere and I didn't want to go through the harness. The truck wouldn't run with a new dizzy or computer. I got frustrated and tore it all out.
