after the body lift and getting the bumper back on i decided i could not stand see'n the ugly front xmember so i made a new one out of 2x2 .25 wall and 3/8 plate, what ya think?

my lifted 87 4x4 didnt have anything there when i bought it so i figured that since the truck was kinda a hck job when i got it that they just took it off. so do the 4x4s have any kind of crossmember there?

thats awesome! my 94 4x4 has the same nasty looking x-member yours did i'll probably be looking to replace it down the road when i get a new bumper. i wish someone sold replacement aftermarket x-members, or maybe they do, doesn't seem like a hard upgrade for more strength and better clearance.

they do.... slugin crossmebers makes them haha..... $75 for real though if anyones interested let me know
