Hi from Alabama!

I hate to add more work for @Jim Oaks , but I would like to see the above window diagrams added to the tech library... I searched and searched and searched.... door locks are a dime a dozen (cause people add aftermarket remote keyless and alarms a bunch), but finding the windows was like pulling teeth..

quick spots for Jim.... posts #40, 41 (1st link, 2nd is worthless), and (most importantly) 54 (inside the quote)

Ok....

Here are the window wiring diagrams for the 1985-2011 Ford Rangers (1983-1984 didn't come with power windows). I also identified what the different wire colors are for and included the connector diagrams where available. Believe it or not, it took me 3-days to track all of that down and put it together.

You are the man! I have been hunting high and low when I have time to look. I have been mostly unsuccessful. I did find diagrams but the one I had for the 1994 didn’t specify function related to wire color. Thank you for spending the time to help.

dang it, now I don't have any excuses to keep me from spending the money on power windows.....

Sure you do. Brain75,
There are all kinds of excuses you can use.
Like:
" I got to many projects already.".
Or
" I don't got the time to do something that's truly not a need.".
Or
" I just lazy and don't want to do it. ".
Or
" I don't got the money right now.".
You can come up with excuse after excuse I'm sure.

I think, The thing is you truly want to make the change.
So now that the wiring diagrams are available, You need to hold yourself back from doing it while you prioritize all the projects you need/want to do.

Well time and money always play second fiddle to parts availability it seems unless a guy gets really strapped for cash and then everything sits behind a big huge brick wall called money.
If power windows in a 2nd gen shows up (so I can get the right switches that work with the interior) in my junkyard I probably wont be able to resist.... For now I am keeping my butt out of the yard as it is snowy and I just don't want the temptation. I already know there are 2 bronco's in the yard that are 2nd gen - like 89 and 90.... so I just have to put off going until they leave the yard.

I can get behind that post all the way Brain75.

Well, sound deadening is done. Component speakers and crossovers installed. 98 panels installed. Switches have also been re-pinned and work! As do locks and mirrors!

That turned out GREAT. Nice work!

As much as a pain in the butt as it is to write up a tech article, I nominate you to write up a tech article for "Swapping 98-03 door panels into a 93-94" as the 93-94 is so rare that there is gonna be lots more guys wanting to do just exactly what you did.

I got my switches rewired and working thanks to everyone’s help. I appreciate it! I will print out a diagram and make notes on how I wired everything so it can help out the next guy. It’s actually really easy once you have the info!

Be happy to do that. Give me a bit and I will get it done. It’s actually pretty easy once the info is all there.i have other stuff i am planning on doing to the truck. Maybe I can do some kind of build log also.

Great work Mindcrime.
You can now take a bow.

Build threads are a thing here. Everything from stock to full on race trucks. They are separated by 4x4 and minitruck categories.
