What's going on ford community, I just picked up a 2000 Ranger XLT 4x4 4.0 OHV auto trans.
I'm a Volkswagen guy always have been, and that's what I do for a living fixing Audis and Vw's.
Now this ford is a totally different ball game, that's why I've joined so I can get insight on things I want and need to do.
So far I've fixed
Door lock actuators (what a pain)
Passenger side window reg.
I've ordered a bunch of led's to deck out the gauge cluster and interior. Just white, I'm too old and not into all the neon colors. Haha. I searched a lot on what led's to use so hopefully I don't run into any problems there.
My gearshift indicator is jacked up, and the gear shift seems harder than it should be.
4x4 Lo doesn't work, and I need to go through the front suspension. The driver seat is blown out and my skinny butt gets beat up by the frame of the seat. Also the arm rest is broken and blown out. Other than that it's a decent truck with 187k miles.
Not bad for a cool $1500 too
