and I got some questions because of problems..

first of all..

had the hood up yesterday to look at the carbuetor filter and all that, my keys i left there then i put the hood down. now i cant get into my ranger. what can i do about that?

my other thang is, i took it for a drive ( just got the vehicle the fourth) about an hour and im here in georgia so its real hot, the engine temp was up there (gauge) and i put my head to it, i heard some boiling.

also - what are the parts of the carburator , i unscrewed the hood for filter, and theres a hose piece on the right side that connects to engine block, mine was real nasty/clogged/dirty, my filter is nasty too but thats another thing.

and my engine revs real good plenty power, but it shuts off ALOT while driving.....at stop signs for example, and i got to crank it back up in the middle of the road (it'd be real dangerous at highways, coming into intersections etc) it just stalls out...and it doesnt crank back up on my first try, usu 2-3 times.
but when it does run its strong, has only 112k on it, its the 2.8 v6.

what can i do about it? i dont know bout these carburetor vehicles but i love the truck i just bought and want it to run fantastic - no problems. can you help?

as far as the hood goes, you can get to the hood latch cable up through the bottom of the engine, sometimes you can stretch it out by pulling on it enough to open the hood,

as for the stalling,it sounds like a bad fuel filter
