Hey from near Pittsburgh PA

Ok. See if you can tell if the noise is coming from the bell housing or the case. My guess is that it is the throw out bearing and the noise is from the bell housing. Supposedly, you can just change the throw out bearing but I've never done it. My slave cylinders have failed before the bearing acted up. So, the whole thing got changed. Make sure the disconnect between the master cylinder and the slave is rhe same on the new slave. There are two styles of connectors and they are not compatible with each other.
I would change the whole clutch anyway since it's all got to be out to get to the bearing and a clutch set is so cheap. Problem is I have to do it on the ground and it's my only vehicle so it needs done in a weekend. I have no experience but I have torn down engines before and I know with all the YouTube tutorials I can get it done.

I have some tools but I'll need more I'm sure and I would kill for a lift. Steep driveway so I'll need to clean the garage out to get it in.
A garage of any type is a help. My current workshop is a glorified shed and a gravel driveway. My buddy in town has a garage, but I don’t ever remember being able to pull a vehicle in there to work on, it’s basically a giant workshop full of tools, so a lot of work has been done outside the garage either on a sort of pad (it’s not wide enough to put a car fully on) and in the gravel driveway. Neither of us are getting any younger and with the kind of stuff I do, a garage with a lift has been a necessity for a long time.

A weekend is plenty of time to do a clutch. And a Ranger clutch is easier than the clutch in my F-150 or dump truck, the ZF5 transmissions in those are no joke.

I can clean out the garage and get my truck in there. It’s just not everything that I haven’t unpacked from moving.
