So I have been searching fo awhile now and cant seem to find exactly what Im looking for. I have heard a C4 wil bolt up to a 4.0. Is this true and what all do I need? I have a 1994 4.0 motor. Will a C6 bolt up? what is needed to do either the C4 or C6? Lookin to build a pulling truck without moving to v8. Running the light duty class.

C6 will not bolt up.

what is a tougher tranny? a c4 or a c5? also will a c4 from behind a 302 bolt to the v6 mustang bellhousing?

I believe that the C4 is stronger but I have also heard that a C5 is stronger. They are very similar.

As far as I know, a C4 is a C4...just swap bellhousings so you get what you need.

One last question I see advanced adapters make a kit to put a 700r4 in a 4.0 ranger. Is the C4 still a better option?
