Help with wiring transmission.

Well I tried again tonight but nothing. I decided to get the clutch switch and try that. Did not effect nothing. The only thing I got accomplished is finding out which wires were reverse. Which i didn't really care to have.

bump on any info that might work.

Sorry man I am out of ideas.

Okay so the only thing i did notice is where the harness connects on the driver inner fender compared to the manual one is that there is a

black with white strip
white with black strip

thats does not go to the other side on the connector

(8 wires going in 6 going out)

Does this mean anything. I dont want to just start cutting the harness up?

Can you look for the wire that hots up when you turn the key? Then look for the wire that turns the car over when it's hotted up.If this turns into a pain in the a$$ then tie into the crank over circuit in the column to the starter solenoid no detours no problems. As long as you remember to push the clutch in.

Well thanks to tmaxxman with the great idea to take the NSS sensor out of the automatic and make a bracket to hold the button down. (did what he did) I got it to try and turn over, but now im pretty sure the starters( original motocraft) bad becasue it just clicks a bunch.

that sounds like a dead battery to me.

It prob is. i know i blew it with the wiring but i have it on a jumper and my gauge inside shows over 16 volts. I will go swap my battery at walmart under warrinty so thats no big deal. So i prob had the wiring right at one point and i was just now knowin

well after battery swap and tmaxxman idea. It started first try:D:D:D:yahoo::yahoo: All I need help with now is the wiring for 4low and getting the damn hydrolic line to connect into the slave. but im almost there.

Any suggestions on how to get it in. it doesnt seem to want to go in. :icon_confused:

I had the same problem. Make sure the slave, and line are both for the same year. They changed fittings.

Wel figured it out. The slave was stuck so all i really had to do was put a screw driver in it and push it. Its like it was sitting long and got sealed stuck. Got a few more hiccups but its drivable and runs good.
