Help with identifying my 5 speed transmission

The truck came with a 5 speed trans and it has "97 F-150 2wd" etched inside the bell housing. It also has a sticker on the side with F75A top line, next line AA, bottom line C717 6 or 833.
I'm replacing the flywheel and clutch and would like to verify what it is. The 1997 trans I've looked up does not have a speedo cable hook up, but mine does.

For those that have done this swap, what starter did you use? I've noticed thar the starter side of the flywheel teeth have been worn down/chipped, so it looks like the starter gears were not engaging fully.

The motor is a 1990 302 that's carbureted and not sure what it came out of.

I'm guessing it probably came from a f150 with a 4.2 in it so the shifter location is the closest to stock location. I would bet its a Mazda transmission M5R2. If you could get a picture that would be helpful also. But I would bet its a M5R2.

I'm sure it is a M5R2, but like I said it's not supposed to have a speedo hook up, so that kind of threw me off. My main concern is getting the correct flywheel, clutch and starter combo. I'm assuming a flywheel/clutch for a 97 but do I get a 97 starter or does it need to be specific to the 1990 302?
