help planning my ranger please. low power bad mpg.

This could be ignition if I remember right there was a recall on 4.0 coil packs for not being hot enough I thought I got bad milage I get 17 with 31s with 3.27s 4.0 auto

Change your O2 sensor. They get tired with age & don't react fast enough. Made a night & day difference in my 2001 Ranger.

Changing the O2 sensor should be part of all 100K tuneups.

I will check it out. They are a pretty brownish grey color when I pulled them to check the cat. Shouldn't it throw a code or fail smog at least?? I'm getting really angry with this especially with the drive home to store it for deployment in a few weeks

I'm losing my mind. And all of my money haha. I'm going to change the fuel filter and possibly the fuel pump relay just for peace of mind. After that, I'll be at a loss I did notice when I filled up that it is leaking fuel from top of the tank I would assume the filler neck. Is this the root of my problems gahh

If you have a pinhole leak in a line at the top of the tank it could be the cause of many problems.
