Here are the details

2000 Ford Ranger 4x4
Reg Cab - 7' Bed
4.0
Automatic w/Overdrive
A/C cold like it was new.
AM/FM CD ( factory installed )
Towing Package ( 4:10 limited slip rear ) Have never towed anything with it.

17,300 Original Miles...( this is not a misprint...I am original owner and only have 17,300 miles on it as I rarely use it )

All stock...only off-road has been driving on the beach a couple of times a year.

Still has original tires on it and everything works like it should.

I've replaced the original battery with another Motorcraft and the truck is stock the way it came out of the factory. It has a XLT emblem on it but yet doesn't have power windows or door locks. They're manual which I actually like.

Someone asked me if I would take $8k for it and I said I don't know....but I would think about it. Do you think I should jump at the $8k or could it be worth more due to such low mileage? Or is it worth less?

What do you think it is worth? Paint is like new but does have some scratches in it but no body damage at all. The photo is from 05 but still looks like that. Interior is cloth...full seat..not buckets and in excellent condition.

Thanks for any advice/suggestions

Thanks...as I just have no clue due mostly to the real low mileage but the guy really likes it and $8k right now would be great with the economy so bad etc..

I appreciate your advice! Thank you!

From time to time I think maybe I will sell it as I just don't use it much but I never got serious about selling it and haven't been now either. But when this guy asked me if it was for sale and we got talking and he mentioned the $8k it led to me giving it some serious thought.

I have 4 other personal vehicles with 3 of them registered/titled on the road so the Ranger is not a necessity to have but since it is the only 4x4 I have it is nice for when we get snow and it is also nice to take down on to the beach from time to time. But its just not needed but is nice to have...I also don't need to have the money a sale would give me but it sure would be nice to have some extra money if I did sell it so I am kind of going back and forth on this and now with us in line to get a blizzard I am really confused. I figured I would get some sound advice by asking here so I can decide to call the guy and say come get her for $8k or just keep it.
Thanks.

I've seen 98-00 4x4's with more miles go for more than that. I was looking at a 00 4x4 with 150k miles on it and the guy wanted like 6 or 7 grand for it. If you don't want it anymore, I would take the 8k. I could buy a brand new Ranger for 9k here. Big sale going on at a local dealer.

i payed 5,500 for my 99 and it had 101,000 miles on it, but i have power everything.
8k sounds about right i wouldnt let it go for less than 7,500.
