Hope this is alright in this forum, couldn't find a better spot.

This trucks an 03 ranger with the 4.0, completely stock at 147k miles. It started leaking fuel a few weeks ago and just got bad enough for me to rip the bed off. I found one of the smaller lines at the pump has a little piss streak coming from it, but if I pushed it down it would seal correctly. Looking further, a portion of the plastic clip is completely gone and it's letting it ride up.

But I'm struggling to find the right replacement clip?

Here's what I pulled off the truck. It sits inside a nylon 90 -

Dorman makes all the clips and connectors. Try their website for a part number... then search the web.

If the clop is not available buy itself... you may have to buy the complete connector and change it.

They can be tricky to do... but not if you have the dorman tool. You might be able to rent one. I have the tool if you're close to me.

Google: ford fuel line clip images

I think Dorman makes replacements
On Ranger's Ford use 5/16" fittings or 3/8" fittings

You guys are no help 😂
Googling and checking dormans site, I only get hair line clips that don't match at all. Dorman recommends the 800-032 but it doesn't match. The 021 looks closer but they say that's for some VW.

This is likely what I'm going to do.
I've done it before but they are a B*TCH, even with the stupid clamp tool.

Yes, some of the clips are not meant to be removed, you push in on one side to release hose from metal tube

All the Ranger fuel lines are 5/16" Nylon, but as said the metal tubes are 5/16" or 3/8" so need right size fitting

You need to heat the Nylon end and it will then stretch enough to slide in a new fitting, as it cools off it shrinks tight, no clamp needed
Problem is "holding" the hot Nylon straight while trying to slide in the new fitting

Google: How to make nylon fuel lines the RIGHT way without the tool!

You will get the idea, 90deg fitting might be a challenge

Brake flare tool line clamp... clamp the nylon fuel hose. Then use a caulk gun to push the connector into the hose.

Someone on here posted that trick years ago. I just bought the tool and never looked back.
