Hello all, Mixmaster42 here I have been floating around for months and finally have some time to get involved with my Ranger. A 1987 standard cab xlt long box 2wd, bought a year ago. My plan after reading some great info on this site is a mild lift, front tube axle, 31 10.50's. I have not desided on a change of the 2.9v6. I will post pics later.

Welcome fellow Canuck~!

Not sure if our snowstorm blew your way, but we got dumped on...

We got hit down here too. About 5" on the ground today. Welcome!

As long as the 2.9 is running well, don't ditch it. They are great little motors. When the time comes, you might consider a 4.0 out of a gen I Explorer.

Don't you just hate that rain? It's enough to get the roads wet but not enough to wash the salt off your truck here in NY. I don't know if it's better (or worse, whichever way you take it) on the Canadian side of the border.

Welcome to TRS.
