Hopefully there are a few other women on this board as well.

Hello there! I've grown up with two of my father's Bronco 2 (85 manual and a 89 or 90 auto), my grand mother had an 84 which we used to take all the time to the beach, Uncle has had a Ranger almost his whole life, so yeah, i'm a ford girl. Second car was a Taurus, third was a brand new Escape 2010 and then another one in 2014.

As to why i'm here, well i plan on restoring a 89-90 Bronco 2 and making it my daily driver, like i used to do on my dad's 20 years ago now going to college.

oh i'm also french canadian so Bonjour to anyone else that may be here as well!

Ça va

There are several other women on the board, and more like my daughters who attend the board through me (Oldest has a '98 Ranger 4x2, youngest a '07 B4000 4x4).
If you want to ask questions in French, I will have them respond; I understand, they are bilingual.

We will be full of suggestions for you.

Hopefully, you are enjoying the cold we sent you. Almost 10C here in Calgary (after 2 weeks of -30s).

There is a bunch of information here that can be a big help as you move forward with your Bronco II. There is also a sister site to The Ranger Station called Bronco Corral. There has been 20 plus years of information saved in the Tech Library on each site and also information in the threads you can use the Search function to find.

There is also a knowledge base here in the way of membership that is pretty amazing... most are very willing to offer up that knowledge to help you with any questions you may have. We do have some female membership but not real active it seems. Don't let that hold you back... just jump right in and we're glad to have you.

I just picked up my first Bronco II the end of summer. My pockets weren't deep enough to do a first gen Bronco. With the issues/wait time/price point of the new Bronco I decided to hold off with one of those. So my love of the Ranger... a first gen Bronco II was a good fit for me.

We do like pictures of all these old trucks... it also nice to document were it started before you get going and lets us get an idea of what you're starting with. Feel free to post a picture or two...

Welcome to TRS...

Bienvenue sur le forum.

Yes i'm familiar with Bronco Corral as well!

I am still looking for a good deal on a B2 near me that i can pick up as soon as i move into my new house and will finally have room to tinker :)

As for pictures, i plan on creating a Youtube channel dedicated to it1

My bad... I thought you had a heirloom Bronco II you were going to build.

Good luck on your search. I didn't want deal with any from near my area... most are rusted to the point of to much work to restore. Be sure to watch our classifieds. I bought mine from them and had it shipped here pretty rust free. It was an expense to ship it... but probably worth it in the long run.

Welcome to the site.

Frenchy wimminz.

And bronco 2s.....

I am good with that...

Hopefully you can get a great project going.

I'm single. Just sayin...

I know my dad gave his B2 to a friend who took it to his logging/hunting camp but the trail goes cold after that. Never been able to locate it.

Married ;)

It would be nice if you could find his... but condition is going to be everything with the direction you want to go. Sentimental value means enough to overcome everything though I suppose.

I would be patient and just be ready to jump when the right Bronco II shows up. They don't last long if it's a good value. I told myself if I ever did one it had to be a clean and lead a salt free life. I was lucky enough to find that one with a bunch of work/mods that had already been done. I couldn't have done the suspension and axle mods to a rust bucket truck for the asking price of the one I bought. It still needs work... but it was a great jumping in point. This is the link to my Bronco II... it even has some info about how I purchased/shipped the vehicle sight unseen. The process was a bit scary... but I'm glad I went this route opposed to starting from a stock rusty version.

Good luck and be ready to jump...

Oh beleive me it would be great to find my dad's but i'm sure its been scrapped by now. If it hasn't. its probably rotting out in the woods somewhere :(

And yeah im ready to jump on one. I'd love to have one that is at least mechanically sound as i'm still learning to wrench on cars so i want this project to specifically learn.

I have a bunch of ideas on what to do to it in order to bring it into the 21st century. I'm just a sucker for 2dr SUV/trucks :)

I always wanted an early Bronco (and still do), but as life works out I ended up with a Ranger for my first vehicle. A 2wd and it was a good truck (me not so much back then) and I really wanted a 4x4 to go off-roading after joining here to find how to put a tach in my first Ranger. Ended up picking up an 88 Eddie Bauer Bronco II from a member here. It blew up a couple months after I started driving it, but it was game on at that point. Bought two more off of former members on here (one got scrapped) and bought two from a junkyard (one scrapped and one sold). They are definitely nice little vehicles.
