Hi to all ! So let's start with rebuild project!
I just bought it from IAAI Repo auktion ( lot of paperwork trouble) . After arrivied to Poland i found that engine is gone , cab corners, anf rocker panels too.

Car went from Rhode Island. Now I know what the Rust Belt is. Anyway - for a 800 $ is still worth to rebuild .
I hope to find here some help and knowledge :)

Cool! Welcome to the forum and keep us posted with your rebuild process.

Man.. the rust belt is SO BAD it's now affecting people on another continent -__-

Welcome!

Awesome Marcin, welcome to TRS :) Depending how bad it is, I got an 87 or 8 given to me once due to it's rusted condition and spent the next 2 or 3 months underneath it with a wire brush and a chipping hammer, and a hundred rattle cans of black paint ;)

Welcome.
For a 2002 from New England that's not too bad, the frame looks clean in the picture. I would give it a thorough inspection before you start, though- mechanical stuff, too. We pay a terrible price for road salt, sorry you got to see an example.

That's a nice truck. In my humble opinion, restoration depends on the condition of the frame.

Hi! Welcome to The Ranger Station! I hope you have fun with your project. These are great little trucks.

Thanks, guys! Frame looks ok. Just a little sandpaper work and grinder and than paint. The worst part is the cab corners. Need to replace them.
I will start a rebuild thread on forum soon as possible :)

Look into getting what we call a needle-scaler.. they might be called something else over there, I'm not sure. They clean up frames exceptionally well though.

Good luck. Keep us posted
Sometimes those cab corners rust out the water comes from the inside, often a leak or a series of rust holes around the front. You will know when you cut the cab corners out.

Cab corners are available. Make sure they are for a standard cab, not an extended cab.

Which engine does it have?

You probably know this already, but you'll have to do some rewiring to meet European (including Polish) lighting regulations. The 1993–1999 US–spec taillights have separate amber turn signals and will physically interchange, though you'll still have to rewire to separate the turn signals from the brake lights.

You will need to wire auxiliary turn signals on the sides, but that could be done by rewiring the existing front side-marker lights (as we call them here). By rewiring, instead of coming on with the headlamps, those lights will operate with the turn signal on that side.

You will also need a rear fog lamp. If the driving lights in the front bumper work, you should be able to wire a rear fog lamp to operate with them.

Your Ranger uses a two-filament bulb in the headlight housing for the turn signals and parking lamps together in one bulb. That bulb has an amber coating. You probably know parking lamps as "side lamps". You might need to separate the side lamps from the front turn signals so that the side lamps are white, but check the rules in Poland. Maybe the authorities will be all right with the existing arrangement.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I just bought those corners today for 45 $ each. Just waiting for transport to Poland.

This is 3.0 Vulcan Engine , its under construction now :-) Heads are cracked , pistons and rings needs to be replaced, and cylinders remachined. I hope it will be worked. Bottom end is in mint condition.

Is this any rewiring diagrams for tail lamps to EU conversion? Or should I buy trailer converter to separate turn and brake wires?
