Hello, I have a 1995 ranger supercab 4x4. I just took my engine out and was wondering if I could change the heater core by pulling the HAVC stuff on the firewall off easier than taking the dash out? It isn't bad or anything, just maybe looking to do it if it's something easy to do while the engine is out...thanks.

nope, still have to pull the dash to swap it.

The heater core is located in the passenger compartment, not the engine bay. You can remove all the stuff you want from the engine bay, and the heater core will still be on the other side of the firewall. Sorry, but you still need to pull the dash.
