Heat keeps blowing out of the defroster and the floor vents

And defroster?

Ya forgot that one lol. I took the heater valve and felt the hoses there's still hot so I wired the valve shutout so I think where the little plunger is all the way in for today's drive to work. It actually got worse started blowing out much more.

There's a vacuum leak going to the system.

ok so i ran the ac all the way home from work and opened the hood when i got home while the engine was still running. The heater valve had the little plunger in the down position and it appeared it had no vacuum. Could i not be understanding how the heater valve works? Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought it the plunger was down it was open and getting hot, and if it was up it was closed and should be getting cool, not the other way around. If it's a vacuum leak how do i find it. Thanks

Vacuum closes the valve. Follow the lines under the hood. Most leaks happen there with the engine heat unless someone dislodges a line working under the dash or under the hood.
