What people seem to glaze over is that this country interprets its laws over legal precedent. that meant with this health care bill is if it is not challenged or it is up held that because the bill in essence makes it illegal to perform the risky behavior of not having insurance .

if such a precedent is set by the courts all risky behavior is subject to bannation by the congress every thing from smoking, drinking, tanning, gambling, risky capitalism,and sports to name a few

And they wonder why people are getting violent. Being peaceful has done jack, except giving us increased debt, decreased freedoms, lost of culture, forced acceptance of all things perverted, deteriorating education, lost senses of responsibility and ethics, etc, etc,etc......

We stay calm and they screw us. Democrats and Republicans.

and for all the people that say they cant find a job with health care do like I did 30 years ago Join the military and do at least 20 years. but the goverment has even stolen my life time health care that I was promised and earned by changing the law so that when I turn 62 I am forced to the medicare system with higher costs than my military care. Hell yes it matters. I can escape a F****d up Oregon and move to Montana if I don't like the Oregon Health Plan (which I will and which I don't). If the Feds impose some B.S. on me there is nowhere to run. No voting with your feet.

Yes, I was hoping someone would clarify what I was saying and I didn't want to be too argumentative. If it's a State Law that I don't like, I have an option of moving to a different State, if it's a Federal Law and I don't like it, I have to consider a new nationality and personally, I kind of like the way this one is. The US Constitution spells out what the Federal Governments role is, they have over reached since Lincoln and it's bullshit. They have no right to impose these laws on the States.

I used to consider myself a little "L" Libertarian, I'm thinking I'm a big "L" now.

Since I've posted so many times in this thread, I guess I should answer the OP's question.

I'm not sure what it means to me. I pay insurance for myself and my daughter. I expect that the rates won't go down now that the insurance companies can no longer deny pre-existing conditions or drop people. To me, that says the insurance companies will fail and the government will have to "bail them out".

I suspect that will create a single payer system, with the single payer being the Federal Government. I work for a County School District and my wife works for the State of Arkansas. I expect we'll be some of the first to be moved over to it. It'll probably be fine at first because they'll want to impress the masses, but in the long run I figure we'll end up like a third world country. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it being a positive step overall.

Let me get this straight....... We"re passing a health care plan WRITTEN by a committee whose chairman says he does"t understand it PASSED by a congress that hasn"T read it but EXEMPTS themselfs from it,to be sighed by a president that also hasn"t read it and who smokes,with FUNDING administeredby a treasury chief who did"t pay his taxes, all to be overseen by a surgen general who is obese, and FINANCED by a country that"s broke


What the hell could possibly go wrong ?
