healthcare reform??

Hell yes it matters. I can escape a F****d up Oregon and move to Montana if I don't like the Oregon Health Plan (which I will and which I don't). If the Feds impose some B.S. on me there is nowhere to run. No voting with your feet.

You also can escape a effed up country and go somewhere else.Life is about choices.Which choices are you willing to make? A loss of freedom is a loss of freedom.Whether it's from a state, city,Fed law.Just differant degree's and what you are willing to put up with.In my opinion this is still the best damn country in the world.

Do you feel we are going to lose doctors and equipment? That is all the made our health system better.
Shouldn't that read 'that is all that' instead of 'that is all the,' Mr. Spelling Police?

In fact, yes I feel that we will lose doctors (who are arguably the best trained in the world, not a mere triviality), because more than a few have come out and said they would retire instead of dealing with Obamacare. The wife of a friend (who is herself an MD - and a flaming liberal) has come out against it. In fact her practice is moving to a 'cash only' payment requirement and will no longer accept ANY kind of insurance, just to keep from having to deal with the headache that will be Obamacare. And if forced to take it, they will simply close their doors.

My issue is that if it all gos bad. what then? In private companies, if you fail, you go out of business. Where is it in that law that if it increases insurance prices it fails? In my city we've got a stupid bus program that nobody rides - great in theory - but even though no one uses it, it's just a waste of money. It's doubly hard to get rid of government programs that fail.

Whats this bill all about any how? Is it adding universal healthcare or what? I'm kind of confused as to what is going on here.

since all of the other government run programs make so much money i think its a really good idea to have the government run healthcare also!

It doesn't say grammar police does it? Typo police? Didn't think so.

Throughout the world there are two kinds of doctors (And this is a prevailing
world view of doctors)

A)Those doctors who were trained in the united states
B)Those who are not.

Even in places like switzerland if a patient finds they have a choice
between a Swiss doctor, a German Doctor and an American Doctor
80% will chose the American one.

MOST modern medical technology was literally "invented here"
and virtually ALL doctors who are schooled here know how to use
it like a kid who grew up playing with computers knows how to
setup an e-mail account.
(While their parents still haven't set the clock on their VCR
(and Yeah... they still HAVE a VCR:))

medical scanning technology and testing provides information and
while diagnosing information is something you cannot have too much of.

My last point is that with the governments previous track record...

Point #1 The United States Post Office
Point #2 Amtrac

Would you really want them managing YOUR health care?

Frankly I think it would be simpler more direct "correction"
To establish that anyone who makes less than ammount X
(limited by law to an ammount not greater than 15% MORE
than welfare benefits) or anyone currently collecting unemployment
OR any children of the above get treated "pro-Bono".

No insurance, no bill, no red tape no bull shit.

And elimnate the opressive redtape and regulation that was already
chocking the insurance industry and let them sell across state lines.

Competetion is the surest route to lowering prices.

BUT IN RETURN doctors who can manage to generate 20% or more
of their practice in "public benefit" patients are EXEMPT from ALL
federal taxes.

Free ride they send in their w2's with their patient breakdown and
write EXEMPT with a black marker across the 1040EZ form they file...

that includes partnership shares in any joint practices, their partnership share in a hospital etc... their "Reward" for public service...

The only problem is that the government cant control it
and WASTE 60%-80% of it!!!

The government is approaching the program the wrong way around if they REALLY want to "fix" what they see as a problem.
What they WANT (aside from their rhetoric) is to seize the money.

AllanD for president.

wow, a simple 3 paragraph rule that would reform Healthcare.

If I could afford health insurance....wouldn't I already have it?

From what I understand I'm screwed. I am 21, going to school, and have a job that makes a heath insurance plan available.

Going by the fact that I'm 21, I would be able to go under my parents plan, but looking at the exception rules.......if an insurance plan is offered, it basically isn't an option for me. I make just enough from my paycheck to pay for rent, electric, water, gas for my truck to go to school 3 days a week, insurance for this truck, and a cell phone (which is almost a "required" piece of technology). How am I to afford a plan?:icon_confused:

Please, somebody tell me I'm wrong....that there is a way. :annoyed:

Public transportation?

Public transportation?

How do we pay for that? More taxes? I know, lets raise the registration and the gas tax to pay for public transportation..... wait this is what the liberals want (or one of the tings), mass public transportation and no personal automobiles.

Ever try to carry a weeks worth of groceries on the bus?

It would almost be fine if you lived in an area that had public transportation.

this is just a bullshit law for the elitist scum to force 300 million people to do what they (the elitist scum) want them to do.

Kinda sad when I can actually see quite a few people from here doing a better job than those we have in office.
