Headlights and Foglights

My headlights and foglights will not work simultaneously. It's either one or the other. Any ideas?

All the time? Or just when usung high beams?

Fog lights, from the factory, are wired to only work with low beam headlights on. The thought is that you shouldn't be using high beams in the fog because the reflect back in your eyes.

Not at all with the high beams.

Stating the obvious here and you've probably already tried this, but the multi function switch or ground could be the issue. See if wiggling the stalk with just the headlights on causes any malfunction.

Does your truck have the "autolamps" feature that turns headlights on automatically when it starts getting dark?

While on this topic of fog lights, anyone have an idea of how to keep them on with high beams? Watched a tutorial on snapping off one of the prongs on the relay switch and all that did was kill them altogether so now I have no fog lights. I'll just replace the switch.

Due to DOT regulations... its probably better we don't discuss ways for you to defeat the factory built in regulation.
