Best penetration oil you can use is stuff called Aerokroil.a machanist I work with swears by it and he's been doing it for about 30yrs.i personally used the stuff as well.it ll be the last penetration oil you buy I guarantee it.you can get pretty much anywhere.hope this helps.

50/50 Synthetic transmission fluid and acetone works better than any store bought stuff. Shake well before use...

I like Cyclo Breakaway best. If you can find the old Ford penetrating oil with graphite it works good but is a lousy lubricant. After soaking the bolt and drilling it out, try tapping around the bolt with a hammer before attempting to extract the old bolt. And go easy with the extractor, once you snap it off it's too late.

I whimped out. I could have put the screws to it but backed off. Ran it up to a 1/4 with a handfull of bits. I was able to get a great bite on it.

Going to get the rest out tomorrow and throw an insert in it. His gaskets dont come until next week.

Put the header on today. I had to cut the rear driver's side bolt down a hair. There wasn't a way to insert it as it was too long. No leaks and does sound a bit better.

The dipstick tube makes contact with the header. Any issues here?

Probably not, other than maybe being extra hot when you pull it. Shouldn't be too hard to carefully tweak it away from the header. Maybe use a tubing bender so you don't kink it.
