Hazards/flashers and blinkers

2000 V6 3.0. Hazards never worked since I bought the truck and the left blinker always blinks super fast even though both bulbs are working. I just replaced the relay under the dash and now my hazards work but the left blinker is still blinking super fast. My truck has the yellow hazard relay but I replaced it with a blue one because that's all I can find and that's what rockauto sells for my truck. I noticed the yellow relay has a sixth small pin but I'm not even sure what it does as the connector only has 5 pins, unsure if this would cause the blinker issue. I was under the impression that the new hazard relay would fix the blinker issue as well but it hasn't. Is there something else I should look into, maybe a blinker relay, or could it be the multifunction switch that does the blinkers and the wipers on the steering wheel? Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Thanks.

Swap ALL the turn bulbs from one side to the other. See if the problem moves. If it does, one of the bulbs in the wrong one or something is wrong with the bulb.

Most factory flashers work on heat. The heat is generated by the current flow of the bulb flowing through the flasher. If one of the bulbs is not pulling it's share, or pulling too much, it can make the flasher go faster or slower.

That's why sometimes if you add a trailer hitch and add the trailer wiring to the truck's rear lighting circuits, the blinker can flash very fast when the trailer is plugged in.

My truck has the trailer wiring. I removed the pigtail that was wrapped around the hitch the other day but it didn't make a change wasn't sure if it was that, but I never hook up a trailer or anything. I'll try swapping the bulbs and see if anything changes.

Instead of swapping the bulbs I just went ahead and bought a 10 pack off of Amazon for $10 since the same bulbs are used for brake lights and turn signals. Anyway, I chose to swap out the front turn signal even though it was working and... NO MORE FAST BLINKER. Thanks for your help.
