I had one of those "truck and driver being as one" expeirences the other night. It was funky and cool at the same time.

I was coming home up NH-121 after having dinner with my grandparents, and it was about 7 PM when I started heading home from Atkinson. Now, I've driven 121 many times going back and forth to see them, so I know the road well enough. Even better, it had just been freshly paved.

Once I got north of Hampstead, it began. Every corner and shift it was like the truck knew what I was going to do BEFORE I did it. At the same time, it was both creepy and cool.

BMW, eat your heart out!!! I've found my "ultimate driving machene" in a '94 Ranger!

Anybody else have something like this?

After about 6 hours in the driver seat it feels like I'll never be able to get out of it.

So in a way, yes.

I've had many of these moments over the years.

Moments when time slows to a stop, everything becomes perfectly crystal clear, and I am one with the truck as I make it do exactly what I need to avoid getting us both killed.

And then you realize you still have the seat belt on?

I've been there with many of my fords. My ranger and I are "new" to eachother. I got it in rough condition and have made it look as good or better than it did when it ran off the assembly line..

thats everyday for me bro. i love that white underpowered 4 banger roaring throught that flow master exhaust.

cant get any better for me :icon_thumby:

I had many days...scratch that....nights... like that, back when I was a kid, in my old '73 Econoline. Of course in those days, there was always a brewskie in the drink holder, so that probably helped.:icon_cheers:

I hope and pray that my truck doesn't become part of my body every time I pass somebody.

When I get on a dirt road the steering wheel is an extension of my arms, I know where every part of the truck is and I know exactly when to make any input to my machine........I love my Ranger

I just enjoy driving my Ranger. It is so reliable and fun to drive. I also like the looks that everbody gives when thay see the truck. People pull up next to me and say it is a neat looking truck (4wd and 2wd crowd). That makes me feel great!!! Even Jeep owners have said that!!!

all the time. even right now. I left it in kalispell Montana and I'm in Medina Ohio. feels like I left my soul. lol.

but me and my truck are one. I feel it it feels me.

That was pretty much the way I felt that night.

There are times when the road, the truck, and the music all come together to create something magical.

I've driven friends' vehicles of all types, but I feel "at home" once I'm brhind the wheel of my Ranger again. It's like slipping on your favorite pair of jens or those work boot you have broken in "just right."

I get the feeling I'm starting to write a country song here.
