1987 Ranger STX 4x4 SuperCab
The Drivers side electric door lock only operates when the door is open. It won't lock or unlock after shutting the door.
I tried tracing down the problem by opening the door and then manually pressing in the button by the front of the jam (that works the dome light) and the button at the back of the jam (don't know what that works) and the engaging the latching mechanisms in the door all at the same time. While the door is open and all these are engaged, the lock still works.
I've tried wiggling the wires and such but haven't been able to track down the source of the problem.
Anyone have a haunted door lock like this one?
