i was thinking about buying some for my 87 2.0 dose it help at all if what did it do for you?

YES......i dont know what that shit is made of, but i'd put in a bicycle if i could find a place for it.

throw half the can in the brake booster vaccum hose and let it sit for 20-30 minutes, then crank up your car and watch all the white smoke pour out - it's the carbon build ups getting cleaned out.

pour the other half in the tank and it'll clean out the rest of the system.

i've done it on my explorer 2 times and i can def tell a difference

:shok: I would be very careful where you put that stuff. Just dumping it down the vacuum hose could lead to a hydro-locked engine or fouled plugs. Each engine is different, so if you don't know where the hose goes, find out first.
Now, I use Seafoam all the time. I am a heavy equipment mechanic and we use it in the tanks of our machines to clear up water and clean the system after bad fuel has be run. It is great stuff, works real good.
If you have had bad fuel, or water in the fuel, it will clear it up. Just be careful, better safe than sorry.

yeah, i just noticed i phrased that VERY wrong.....dont just dump it in the vaccum hose. turn the car on, disconnect the vaccum hose and then pour half the can into the vaccum hose. it'll idle rough, but it shouldnt cut off.

I used the booster line to suck it up rather than pour it and needed a buddy to keep the idle high enough that it would not die and watch the smoke show and use about 75% of the can. Dump the rest in the oil and run drive it for about 10 miles and then go home and change the oil right away and your oil filter will be very heavy from all of the stuff it cleans. Then I would dump a can in a full tank of gas and run it almost dry. My truck now gets better mileage, better throttle response, and more power. The stuff is great.

And as of whats in it, if you smell it you will be able to tell that it has a ton of alcohol in it

I collect and work on a lot of antique gas engines, and seafoam has been a great product for me. I'll usually pour some on top of the piston(s) and let it sit overnight. Even without it going in a running engine, it disolves the deposits that stick rings and cause other problems. Of course, it's not a cure-all or "horsepower in a can", but it usually does restore driveability that is lost through normal usage.

Is there any concerns in using the seafoam in a '98 EFI?

I use it on a ham and cheese sandwich, yummy!! Only kidding. I put a can in my 94 Ranger gas tank and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!

seafoam

Taste Great and Less Filing!

Ive had the best luck in small engines and 2 strokes. If you put in an engine with high mialage (in the gas tank) and there is a cloged oil leak. It will make it leak. Like valve guides. Had it happen. After a wile it might seal back up.

You shouldn't just pour half the can in a vacuum line all at once due to lock up n it eats away at hoses n gaskets.your also supposed to put some in your oil as well.i always put 1/4 in the oil,1/2 in the fuel depending on how much fuel is in the tank n the rest in a vacuum line slowly while the car is running.to much of it in the fuel can cause injector problems.

Worked great for me but i passed on putting it into the engine itself lol. Did this along with cleaning the MAF and Throttle body. Can't say exactly which one did the most benefit but all together HUGE difference!
