I have an '02 reg cab, and when its warm and i shut it off to get gas or something and then go to restart it will crank 2 to three times longer than it normally should before it fires. This only happens once in awhile also. What could the problem be? Thanks

I have hade the same issue with my 2001 duratec 2.3 Auto. Also when I start the truck when its cold the idle speed surges and when I put it in gear the whole truck jurks until I give it some gas. Anybody have any idea's?

Could it be the air flow sensor?

i have an 08 2.3. mine does the same thing, sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries for the truck to start and feels like the engine wants to jump out when trying to start
