whats up everyone. I have a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge 3.0 V6 with a 5 speed manual. It is my first vehicle and i've had it a year and a couple of months. I noticed that it had a new clutch put into it recently before i bought it. A month or two after I got it, I found that it was getting hard to shift and it progressively got worse. The problem is that when I shift into first and third I have to push in half way and then push it even hard to get into the gear. Almost like I have to double shift into the gear. I have noticed that the teeth grab a little bit going into third. I have had the clutch master cylinder replaced and the transmission fluid changed this week (that did nothing to help). I don't know what to do now.

You might want to try replacing the lube in the transmission. It could have the wrong lube (should be ATF) or is could be degraded. I have to change trans lube about every 60,000 miles to get smooth shifting.

Otherwise, it may have worn syncros.

Alright Ill try to change the lube and see where it gets me.
