Finally...after a year of persistance, aggravation, and general bullshit i think i got my truck fixed.

Issue #1 (losing power randomly at speed with engine tone change, etc) was what was making it undriveable.Im thinking as @adsm08 once suggested the knock sensor was pickin up on a lifter tick and pulling timing. An 88 ECM that i got courtesy of @PetroleumJunkie412 took right care of that.

Issue #2- Flooding/Richness/Stalling....I believe was a combination issue of a bad spot in the O2 sensor wire (the green signal wire, atleast according to the chart i found), and, you ready for this...the IAC.

I fixed the O2 wire and the richness seemed to be gone, but sometimes if youd rev it a bit and let off, or kinda nudge forward and lay off it would almost stall/stall. I pulled the IAC apart and cleaned it. Put it back on and it was doing it worse. Found a hammer, beat the piss out of it, now the stalling seems to be gone. I plan on replaceing the IAC at some point.

With the new ECM im getting different codes then before. With the old ECM i got a code 18 memory code, it passed the KOEO test and on KOER i got a 41.

Now with this ECM KOEO i get a code 95, a memory code 18, a KOER code 18, and KOER code 41.

However i deleted them out and im gonna drive it. It seems to be running flawlessly so the codes can piss off.

Thanks to everyones for patience and help!

Woooooooo! I'm legitimately happy for you brother! I honestly wanted to find where you lived and set that thing on fire.... for your own good.

Me to. I was about to light it numerous times.

Now i just got some little things to tidy up before putting it back on fulltime DD service, patch the exhaust, get a radio with a functioning display, just little shit.

Nice rusty... glad to see you made some headway on the beast.

Badass buddy! That's the original ECU out of my 1988 under restoration, so it's kinda cool to me to see it back on the road.

I've had more IAC issues than I can count... Standard motor products (more expensive one on amazon) finally got it for me on the third try. That's pretty much a Motorcraft-or-pull-your-hair-out item.

Good to see you back on the road!
