Its great living in the country.
I thought that too until one day two guys strolled right into the house an started casing the place, in broad daylight....

Now there is always a proper tool to chase intruders with handy........

I'm sorry to hear that, man. Is your truck damaged in any way?

I would be pissed too, but it could have been worse.

This is exactly the reason why I get pissed off when people post videos of the "antenna trick".

That sucks.
My old Sport Trac got broken into when it was left at the dealer overnight waiting on a part. Smashed two windows and stole my XM and all my CD's. I figure they thought the XM was a GPS, because when I call XM to report it stolen it becomes an instant paperweight.
Dealer fixed it, got me a new XM (better than the one I had), and paid me $200 for the CD's. Upside, they never noticed the $400 Valentine One radar detector under the seat. :icon_twisted: Downside, one of the CD's was autographed and I can't replace that.

And that is why I never carry original cd's in my truck. First thing I do when I buy a new CD is to take it home, rip it onto my comp and burn a copy. Sure, the copies don't hold up all that well, but I can make a lot of copies of a disk for the $15 a replacement would cost (and I have a few cd's that are hard to replace).

Now why would he take the blood sugar kits? Freaking moron, I wish him bad karma and ill health. Sorry this had to happen.

I live in the city and I have found my trucks broken into a total of three times. I quit leaving anything of value visible in the cabs, also found that if I back them into the driveway where the cab is more visible from the street it is less likely to get broken into. Also leave the outside lights on the house on all night, only costs about a buck a night to run three CFL's, cheap insurance in my book.

i leave my keys in the ignition all the time out in the country.. usually my Belgian Malinois is sitting in the bed though. Rock is kinda protective of my truck and his favorite ride

I had my tool box stolen out of the back of my ranger. I had a camper shell on the back, but didn't keep it locked. Lost about a hundred dollars worth of tools including a nice set of ratchet wrenches, deep well 1/2 drive socket set, and a compression tester.

Sorry to hear that man, country ftw haha. I also leave my keys in my truck. All of the like...5? vehicles...maybe four..whatever we have all have keys in them. The only thing I lock is my nissan 300zx TT. But I live around a small town. Everyone knows everyone. People leave keys in there farm equipment, which doesn't sound like much but some of th stuff these days can cost upwards of $200,000. Could have been worse I guess. Still I feel for ya

After getting my windows smashed and my CD's stolen, I now always leave the doors unlocked..

I'd rather have some CD copies go missing and my crappy CD player stolen than a busted window.

Now, if had a nice Car, CD player, system, Ipod and such, I'd lock my doors and get some of this:

I don't lock the doors on my truck, and I live in one of the most dangerous cities in the country half of the year. Just like BlackBII, I'd rather have someone go and rummage through whatever junk I have in there then break out a window.

On the other hand I do lock the doors on my car, I have subs in the back but the only way to get in the trunk is with the key, I guess someone could knock out the lock and get in that way but the inclosure is pretty big and it is a pain to get out.

maybe he was diabetic too.

When I'm at work I actually leave my windows open with nothing in the cab. I'm hoping someone steals my radio. The radio itself works fine, but the cd player works when it wants to, and that isn't often or consistently. Its not bad enough to justify replacing it outright since I listen to the radio more than a disk, but if someone stole it, well then I'd need a new one. Also, I have no AC, so in the summer it gets hotter then Satan's NASCAR track in there in the summer, all windows open helps a bit.
