ok guys im thinkin i may have ether a bad thermostat, fan,ect or....a blown head gasket
went to work today and noticed the truck was hotter then normal and the temp was climbing fast and neared the top of the end of the "normal" range had i driven any farther or ideled longer in the lot it would have overheated. when i shut it off it was loudly bubbling and burbling.
when it cooled down i looked and after i wiped the dust off the recovery tank noticed it was empty then opened the rad and couldnt see any fluid near the neck as it was angled and i couldnt see down it.
after work i picked up 2 gals of the 50/50 premix coolent and filled the rad up til it started burping into the hose leading to the coolent tank then filled that up to the cold fill line.
drove home it stayed in the typical spot then slowly climbed up higher and when i stopped at home and let it idel a bit it was up toward the line ending the "normal" range. i looked at the recovery tank and it was bubbling up from the hose spot where it goes in.
i shut the truck off and it started bubbaling and burbaling again and contined to bubble in the recovery tank.
i looked on the web and saw it could mean a blown head gasket
i hope you guys can help me
