Put a new gun rack on the ranger today, turned out pretty damn good.

It is.

Has to be in a case or in a seperate compartment in the vehicle (like the truck) from the driver... or broken into I think 3 pieces (not counting the bolt on a bolt action)

Not if you have a permit and live in a good state. In Indiana that would be perfectly legal. Probably not a good idea on public roads, but legal.

Its not illegal... it depends on your state, some states are like Commiefornia and would throw a fit if you did that, some don't care... in most cases, they just have to be unloaded.

Not a good idea to park somewhere with guns in the rack though, just an open invitation for someone to break in.

in florida, it's illegal. we have the 10-20-life law for fun crimes. having a gun rack in your gun rack in the back window is a good example of the 10 lol

I used to carry an AR-15 and SKS on a rack on my old F-350. Even in downtown Buffalo I didn't get stopped.

My dad had a gun rack in his old truck. But he used it to hold his fishing rods & to hang a rain jacket and extra cap.

Is that a Marlin model 60 .22cal on top? And whats the bottom one? I know its a shotgun, but doesn't look like a Remington 870. Almost like a Mossburg.
