We have pretty strict gun control up here in Canada, and our gun murder rate per capita is about 10% of the US.

Im quite happy with our gun control laws for the most part (long gun registry is a bit of a joke, hunters use hunting rifles, not gangsters...)

Sure it takes 1 second to switch out a clip, but if you only have 1 bullet in it, its not like you can reasonably carry 30 clips on you.

Has nobody actually read the 2nd amendment? It clearly states you can bear arms to form a militia for the defense of the nation. Now you have an army to do that for you.

This guy was a crazy bastard that drove a truck into the side of a building, and started unloading... If you have the right to bear arms, doesn't he have that same right? Nobody having guns seems better than everyone having guns, 'cause there are way too many people who shouldn't have them.

Lets look at Switzerland and Denmark.

Switzerland has laws that not only allow, but in fact require, every citizen to be able to handle a firearm and every household to own at least one.

Denmark has relatively few gun owners.

Switzerland has stayed 100% out of pretty much every major conflict on the European Continent in the last 100 years.

Denmark has been overrun (mostly by Germany) in all of those same conflicts. And they are much smarter than the Polish.

The only reason the Swiss have remained neutral is because they were busy doing things like laundering the money the Nazi's pilfered in all the other countries. Its not because of gun control, its because of shady back door deals with tyrannical dictators and madmen.

If you think just because the swiss owned guns, that stopped them from being conquered by the germans, you are poorly informed on European history. The german army was more populous than the entire swiss nation.

Yup, there are similarities and differences.

Rangers (the gun) should be legal and anyone mentally and physically able to handle one should have one.

Civics (the weed) are evil, support terrorists and dictators, and should be outlawed everywhere.

i'm not saying how i feel about weed b/c that's not what this topic is about.
drugs kill just as many people as guns.. only difference is the druggies had it coming. but this aint about drugs...

its about guns. regardless of gun control, if someone that wants to break laws wants a gun, why should they care about gun control laws? does that make sense to you? it should.. even if i compare it to weed.

I totally understand your point... but it takes more than that.
Its not like I can grow a gun in my closet and sell it down the street. That gun has to be manufactured somewhere, ect.

95% of the guns taken in gang busts up here are illegally imported from the US... Your lack of gun control is having a direct effect on our need for it.

I dont think you shouldn't be allowed to own guns, but you should have to pass a freakin' test (on a regular basis, too) and there needs to be serious controls on the supply of guns.
Gun show loop holes shouldn't exist, for instance.

people that die from guns are usually innocent, not doing anything wrong
and realize- people DO die from drugs but they are out doing drugs causing the harm to their own self

Now you have switched to drugs... before it was weed.
Drugs DO kill people, and they deserve it. Herion junkies get no sympathy from me... But weed does not kill anyone, with the exception of really stupid people who drive high or shit like that... Which alcohol is a way worse offender for.

gun shows here aint loop holes.. not here.. we still have background checks and things like there. there's still paperwork. sure, maybe not everywhere..

i had to give my life story to buy a 12 gauge shotgun... and still can't buy a pistol to june b/c i'm not 21... we have gun controls laws. most guns that are imported to your area are probably people that have bought them LEGALLY and then sold them illegally, think of that? or maybe they are stolen guns.. hell maybe my dad's 9mm is up in canada somewhere, when a guy broke in our house when we were gone.. the 9mm was the one that stayed out for defense, well- it was gone..


and yes i switched, thought i said drugs first... sorry. but drop the weed/drugs or whatever; back to gun control lol
