ya,i'm 5 11 and it's tight.i don't think you'd fit at all.

i have a friend who's 5'2''-i told him this was the perfect car for him.not that i'll let him have it:D

HAHA yeah If I had it I would still definatly build it, Probably would just have to sit on a little pad on the floorboards

that's pretty much what the seats are.

you might need a sunroof.

Benny, If you're 6' 4" you would not fit in the car when it was stock, After the slight modifications, no chance.

You know, the slight modifications where he cut everything apart and built something entirely different to go in it's place. Slight...

Indeed. Slight, like the plastic surgery Joan rivers has had.

Haha true, I guess I gotta stick with the ranger

that's not so bad,is it:icon_thumby:

ok,back to the steering.

here you can see i've tacked a tie rod end on....this is just for test purposes.it confirmed some concerns i had regarding bump steer,as the rack is too low and the rod too short.
i can't raise the rack, but the knuckle end i have some room to work with.

here is where the 17'' wheels help-there is room between the brake rotor and the wheel to move the tie rod mount down and outward.i will not be able to eliminate the bump steer this way(that would require making a new lower control arm-which would need to be too short to work well)but i think i can get it down to reasonable levels.

on the good news side, the steering shaft from the column is a straight shot to the firewall.

i thought i would need a bunch of u-joints in this shaft-i'll have one at the base of the column, but i could get away without this if i chose.

Only the finest engineering eh Tom? I'm sure you'll be able to overcome the bump steer like nothing. I can't believe the steering shaft actually fits, will it hit the manifolds though?

what about once u get the headders back in though... u may have to move some pipe around to go around the shaft

I wouldn't be too concerned about bump steer. There will be so little suspension movement that I doubt it will be a problem.
