Gt-12

Yeah we got about 8" of snow, then it jumped up to 3* and made everything a nasty slushy mess.

yuk.

how do you like those wet feet?

wind's supposed to hit 130 today.

We're getting your wind too Tom.....gotta go out and put some fence sections back up and put the soffits back up on my shop that blew down....most of which is in the neighbors yard.

Hopefully the wind doesn't tear to much apart down there.

The wet is not fun. I was out shoveling the driveway and about half way through I didn't know whether to keep using the shovel or go get a floor squeegee.

ya,the wife is just down the road from you right now,in town to deal with a family emergency.talked to her this morning, she told me about it.she was supposed to be on tonight's ferry home, but now there are weather delays.
could be days before she gets back.

i've got things buttoned down pretty good here,as this is a common occurrence.people can't believe the tarp shed survives the storms, but through trial and blowdowns i was able to tweak the design to keep it together.house shakes pretty good, though.

slush is one of my most unfavouritest things to deal with.better if it just stays frozen.

thank god i decided to build the car in the house.toasty warm in here, with the woodstove going full tilt.:icon_thumby:

Lucky guy, every time the weather gets inclement here all work comes to a standstill on the truck. I've decided to try and get it down to the dealership so I can wrench on it after work but it is not going to be a fun drive with a puking water pump.

ouch....i hope it's not too far of a drive.

even going out to the shed to do my work(got a little body/paint job on the go right now)is really tought to get into.

thought i would put up a photo that illustrates just how tiny the interior of this car is even before filling it up with engine and transmission..

gt6001-20.jpg

notice the seats, how the back is wider than and offset from the bottom...this is because there is no room to put in a wide enough seat,so you actually have to sit in it leaning toward the middle of the car.
and that is factory original.

i also found that i have to raise the bar at the top of the windshield-when sitting in it(going 'vrooom vrooom')that bar is right in my field of view.

I hate when shit doesn't pass the vroooom vroooom test

ouch....i hope it's not too far of a drive.

That is going to be one cramped ride.

It's about a 10 minute drive. I figure if I fill the rad right up and the overflow bottle up a little past cold fill I should make it. That why i need the weather to get clear and crisp so I can bomb down there before it gets a chance to warm up.

oh,it still passed the test...just needed a small correction:D

hard to tell, but moving it up 7/8'' was enough to get it out of the way,and still not interfere with the body.i need every bit i can get,as the windshield is only 10'' high.this is why everything is just tacked until it's all figured out.

cramped is right.this is definitely not a long range highway cruiser.

can't you nose the truck into the garage far enough to do the water pump?(i did see a garage in your posts, didn't i?)

Not quite, there is currently a couch in the way:icon_rofl:

so,i figured since i mounted the engine,i may as well do the same for the transmission.

Nice work, mate. I've been stuck at a wedding for my girlfriend's cousin and your updates are helping me get through it...along with the open bar, of course.
