Gt-12

He won't need the vents, he'll have to stick one leg out the window to drive it.

the front suspension-surprisingly,this will not just bolt in.guess i will need to do a bit more modifying.

i also did some work on the hood last night.

i had to start by hammering out the damage around the right side headlight,as this was warping the whole hood and i cant be welding stuff into a warped panel.i would never get it right.

the bulge fit up nice, but it was a challenge keeping the louver intact.still need to get the other side done, then fab up a piece for the front/center.

i composed the front shot to make it look as good as possible, just to see if i would get a reaction.:D

i wanted to get the back shot up sooner, but the internet went down here till after 5pm(pacific).they are upgradeing the lines, but the intermittent outages are frustrating.

Suckerd me into that one didnt ya!:icon_cheers:

some more hood work....

lots left to do,but it's looking like a hood again.the back end of the hump still needs to be fitted, and the pinch welds along the top of the fender will be removed.on the original, these are covered with a stainless steel trim, but i want to smooth them off.there are matching ones on the rear fenders.

So quick question gwaii, what are you going to do for the opening itself. I see it kind of widens harshly after the first carb.

i still have to close that in,the rear still needs to be fitted.then i will open it up just enough to clear the carbs, and turn an edge up to stiffen the opening.theres still a lot of welding and grinding to do,the hood will have more work into it than the whole rest of the body combined.

But I'm sure it will look fantastic. I think I need to make a road trip soon:D

who knows....this thing might even be ready for a burn by then.

Now that would be awesome.

it would...that would put me way ahead of schedule, but i'm already way ahead of schedule-so you never know.
