maybe you won't call me nuts, but some do and i usually tend to agree with them.
all part of the fun
(btw....this spring i'll have a new batch of people around here calling me crazy-i'm going to add a third 200 to my grady for a few runs with 24p props.should be good for close to 90mph.)
you MUST post pics of this... i'm sure i've seen pics of the dual engine setup somewhere on here...
actually, interesting project i am working on, you might think is cool... my dad works as a consultant for some technical company that works on environmental chambers, refrigeration units, incubators and ultra deep freezers... dual stage freezers are a common thing they work on, these are freezers that go down to about -80* celcius, some even colder... often used for storing evidence for police labs, biological samples, walt disney...
fixing the refrigeration unit requires removal of the refrigerant (freon) and when work is completed, removing all of the air from the system, before recharging it, this is done by placing a vacuum pump on the system, the pumps themselves need repair and rebuilding quite often, so we are in the process of rebuilding two of them, on contract. the first wasn't broken, just had a bad noise, which ended up being a bent fan shroud, fixed in 10 minutes, but when we tested the unit, we hooked it up to a meter to read the vac, the unit used is militorr, the unit we tested yesterday, got to a reading of about 63 militorr, a good one can get below 1 militorr...
keep in mind atmospheric pressure is about 14.7 PSI, the pump i was testing yesterday was around 0.001 PSI when we shut it off, and we are fairly confident we could get it lower if it stayed running an hour or so
