Gt-12

gwaii, you should build a normal truck to very good working condition, just for fun...

that's what i consider stretch to be.

shorty will be a close second when it's on the road...it already gets almost dailly use.

That's like asking Chuck Norris to waste an hour teaching you to play Go Fish.

Chuck Norris is a waste of an hour

Hey, for all we know, Gwaii did that a couple decades ago. And he works on others' property for work when he's not working on his multiple behemoths. It's like porn: once you get so used to soft core, you find the need to switch to hard core. After a while, it needs a break, and you switch back to the former.

i disagree, you can always go more hardcore, never less... my problem, i'm almost to that point where there's nothing left...

i know that one.

funny thing,an old guy pulled up to the gas station in a 78 f 150.good original condition, but in need of a going over.i was thinking that it would be a good resto project...but i just couldn't get excited about the idea.

i guess i'm a total loss unless it involves major cutting and reshaping.oh well,i'm ok with that.

by the way,the rad for the gt showed up this evening.let's hope it's worth the g-note.

OHHHH i REALLY want to see pics of this rad!

idk why, but i'm really excited about it... def more excited than i've EVER been about a radiator before...

well,it's not really that exciting.

but it has the right basic dimentions.
i have to do some modifying to it(yah,a brand new custom made piece has to be chopped up and changed before it's even mounted).the front corners of the top tank need to be beveled for a bit more hood clearance, and the inlet has to be modified.

the jag engine has two coolant outlets, and two thermostats(one for each bank of cylinders)and i wanted two inlets on the rad for this.the rad guy had some problems with this and asked that i tee these together before the rad so one inlet could be used.

now that i have the rad,i can remove the single inlet and put in two smaller ones myself.the stuff on the bottom looks like it'll be ok,except that the outlet will have to be angled up a bit to compensate for the rad being leaned back about 5*.

i'm still figureing out how i'll set up a cooling fan(or fans)in the limited space i have left.

driveshaft just arrived.

driveshaft fits like a dream.i'm only a couple of bolts shy of having the motor hooked to the wheels.

Man this picture reminds me of how much detail work has gone into this car - almost forgot about the equal length brake lines.
