bet they would:D

wanna buy me some skins to put on them?it's going to kill me waiting till i've got money for tires.

i think you'll like the front suspension...it'll be here soon:icon_thumby:

edit-by the way-they wouldn't fit anyway,they are a 120mm pattern.

Ah...goofy metric pattern...

I actually like the original Crager SS's on my car...they're in mint shape still.

i was amazed they were available in that pattern...thought i would need to redrill the jag hubs to fit something else.

one thing that's got me a little pissed though is that the rears have had tires mounted and balanced already.no marks visible on the face of the wheels, but these came right from the warehouse in seatle.wouldnt expect them to have weights stuck on them already, and marks on the mounting surfaces.

Yea, I've come across that before at work...open a "new" wheel box only to find sticky weight residue and tire lube on them....you think they would at least attempt to try and clean them up.

at least the fronts are 'new':annoyed:

Ya, for the money a guy pays for stuff...things like that really piss a guy off

Another amazing gwaii build I stumble across without having any idea of. You need to keep me updated on these things, post a visitor message or something! :icon_rofl:

Looks amazing man, I'm definitely subscribing.

thanks...it's just something to keep me busy on those winter evenings when it gets dark at 3:30pm and the freezing rain is blowing in the wind at 90km/h.

How the HELL did I miss this thread?????????????????????????????

Maybe I missed it as I was too occupied with all the pictures, but what is that motor from??

BTW. It is looking SICK! Man I wish my Fiat 131 had a frame...dang unibodies are annoying and much more difficult for fabrication.

Edit>I just saw it's a Jaguar. Why did you go with carbs instead of the FI?? The FI was all there and everything...just wire it up!

I have a few friends on another forum (much smaller, 30-40 active members at the most) that would love to see this build. If it's fine with you I'd like to post some info on it over there. They'd love to see how this comes togeather.

the reason the engine was pulled from the jag was that the efi was so problematic(he put in a 350 in it's place)and i just like dual 4barrels.gives it the 'hot rod' look.

go ahead,i got no secrets:icon_thumby:

Just figured I'd check in first, I remember telling somebody about a paint scheme a friend of mine was doing that was going to be one of a kind and then about 5 people did it. And the first guy got pissed. I don't expect anyone else to stuff a V12 in one of these though lol.

If I remember correctly the original Jag 12's had stromberg carbs on a crossover kind of manifold. It would have saved about a foot in height over the four barrels. the original set up was a nightmare to set up and keep in tune. Then they changed over to the fuel injection, which was not much better. Don't know what the later ones had but it had to be better than the earlier ones. I think you should post a picture with a normal sized person sitting in the structure so far, It would give a better idea of the size of this thing for guy's that are not familiar with how tiny this car is. You're not going to have much room for rubber with those wheels filling the fenderwells.

the carb manifolds for the v12 were arranged pretty similar to the efi ones, wrapping over the cam covers on each side.i wasn't too worried about the height of the carbs,as i wanted the 'tunnel ram through the hood' look.even with the stock setup i wouldn't be able to keep it under the hood, and that wouldn't look as good sticking through.also, width would be a concern as the intakes would be trying to share real estate with the front tires.
as for the tires,i'm using low profile tires that will fit in the fenderwells, but just barely-i wanted a 23" diameter for the rears, but had to settle for 24 1/4''.the fronts are 23 1/2".
