Gt-12

i had very little experience with the trac torch.the shops i was in went right from hand layout to the plasma, though the shop my dad worked at making track-mounted rock drills used one.sometimes i would get him to cut out brackets for my earlier projects.

and even though duct mate and tdfs became popular,we never did completely eliminate s and drive connections.

It figures you would be the one with his hat tilted trying to be cool.....lol!

hey!what do you mean 'trying' to be cool:thefinger:

coolness just sort of flowed from my very essence:D

(actually, the hat didn't fit very well,so it kept sliding off to the side)

I hated wearing those hats............They gave me helmet hair........back when I had hair!
The Track Torch was pretty cool for its day,I had to lay washers down on the print to keep it from screwing up the eye that tracked the torch.
Hurry up and get this car done so we can get back to the truck (sorry....Im just a truck kinda guy)!

It's the simple things; surprised you didn't modify it to fit correctly. :D

my solution was to not wear it whenever possible.

got myself wrote up a time or two.

nice and toasty where the car is:icon_thumby:

I had nothing to do with it...............
You just hide in the basement where its warm working on your little car..........Just outside the Beast is waiting............Calling..............Scary huh....
Ole Doc Frankenstein tried to hide from his monster to,don't need to tell you what happened with that do I.........

thank you.:thefinger:

ok,headers.

i start out with a rough schematic drawing that shows how the pipes will be laid out.
with this particular header design,i have paired pipes so there will be three pairs going into primary collectors.the primary tubes are 1 1/2'',the collector goes to 2''.the three 2'' go to the secondary collector, which is 3 1/2'',this tapers to 3'' where it goes into the sidepipe.

here you can see where i have been fitting up some more tubes.this is the hardest part of the job,as there can be a lot of little pieces that all need to fit perfectly.
i just sort of visualise where i want the primary collectors to be,and start figureing how to snake all the tubes around each other to get there.this one is a little tough because i want these collectors in the middle of the engine,so the back three cylinders need to run forward then turn 180* to get in the right direction.the secondary collector will be at the frame at the rear of the motor, close to where the brake line is sitting, and be much easier to run the three 2'' tubes to.

damn that makes my brain hurt....

You sound like an ideal politician :D

sorry,my b.s. level could never be high enough.

i'd sure like to have the golden pension plan, though.
