Today I got some used head lights from the junkyard, paid twenty bucks for them. They were yellow as hell, couldn't see inside or anything but I couldn't beat it for the price. A while back I got a some neverdull (from Auto-Zone) to polish the frame on my bike, and having used aluminum polish (mothers) before to clean headlights before I figured I'd give it a try. WOW it did great. I only did it once and they look waaaaaay better. It's only 4 bucks a can too, lasts forever, and is a lot cleaner than a compound. I just thought I'd let everyone know since it worked so well. Hope ya find it useful.

I wet sanded the lights on my old Escort one night, then polished with Mother's. Look just like new. It's amazing how much better a vehicle looks with clear headlights.

Yeah I plan on wet sanding mine too. I really want to get them as clear as possible since I have clear corners. Mind going over exactly how you wet sanded them? Grit number etc...

I did some tail lights on my Nissan 240 and started with 220, then 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000 and 1200 before a plastic cleaner (like a buffing compound) and finally a plastic polish - not wax. They came out better than original - good luck

220? thats pretty coarse i did 1500 then used 3M finnessit compound and a buffer and they came out good.

Blue Magic now makes a specific headlight cleaner. It costs less than 7 bucks and it works! Have seen some pretty ratty looking lenses come clean with little effort and the best part is it is designed for headlights. Got some at Advance Auto Parts.

Yeah I guess I should have mentioned the previous owner :idiot: had painted the tails body color with circles masked in - :shok: - so ricer . . .
