So my project is coming along. i pulled the motor and trans for a rebuild. Took the trans to the shop, they said it was scrap. So i found a new one. But there is no NSS on the new one... what should i do, jump the wires? Leave that plug tied up? Swap out the shifter covers on the trans?

Here's the tech specs
94 Ranger 2wd 4.0
It's the Mazda M50D-R1
New trans out of the same from what the salvage yard told me.

I have a '89 transmission in my Ranger, tranny has a NSS, My Ranger is a '90 that didn't have a NSS from the factory... strange that they went back to using the NSS a few years later... If it won't start without it, jump the pins, if it doesn't change anything ignore it as you'll still have the clutch safety...

Just wire the two wires from that plug together. That is probably what I will be doing when I swap the 4.0 in.
