thanks . $1400 anit bad might be droping a 302 in at tax time and have a 4cyl title so thats good

Is alot of work, the 4 banger tranny wont hold up, youll have to upgrade that and new springs will be required. at the very least,.

Those are my favourite body style of all mustangs...with the exception of the 60's style...especially the 63...

But it looks like a nice car...hope you checked the floor pans and trunk...that's where my Tempo went out...

And I agree with the Turbostang idea...try to keep in mind $G$A$S$ prices...meant to go up as our expendable income goes down....

'63 Mustang? You mean this?

I would turbo it! Forget about 5.0's, they're overrated.

Hmmmm...maybe I was thinking Vette...63 with the split bumpers...

But I do like that car...if it were a foot or two longer I might even be able to drive it...:)

yeah my dads wants to turbo it i told him when he got it to do it but he wanted a 302 now he wants turbo ha

Looks like a solid start. Any rust issues?

I may know a thing or two about foxes :icon_thumby:

I got a Turbo motor and supporting pieces with the exception of the Computer...from my turbo mustang project..where u in AL? lets deal!

64 1/2 was the first year for the mustang, however it shared a frame with the old thunderbird. which was blazin awesome. Could just be a model mixup, but its kool cuz everything from that timeline I still envy today.

I own one, first thing to do is upgrade the brakes with SN95 parts, or cobra parts. Doing the rear end/ brakes at the same time makes it a lot easier and you get an 8.8 instead of a 7.5 and it's a direct bolt in. After that you can snab a header off a 95 or 4 ranger, and a new exhaust. After that it will be peppier, but nothing compared to a turbo 4 or a v8. Now after that you can buy a aluminum flywheel and 5.0 clutch to put behind it and an adapter plate to use the 5.0 5 or 6 spd trans, c-4 or any other small block ford trans. that will make a bit of a difference becauser of the gearing inside the trans and with the alum flywheel you are taking about 11 lbs off the rotating mass of the engine, revs a lot faster. Now cast iron heads really are a waste of time for these to get any reliability out of it without having to worry about a craked head buy an aluminum one, and they have cams and anything else you might want for it. These 4 bangers are used heavily in mini stock circle track racing....... have fun with it.... stay N/A it's cheaper

I agree with the brakes/rear end comments, but modding an NA 2.3 is beyond what I would call pointless.

Also, adding a T-56 six speed over a T-5 or Tremec five speed can soak up 20rwhp.
